Team SAS
Background
Andy McNab’s Team SAS was developed as a PC/ Xbox game by Wayward Design in Bristol, and was the second major project by the studio after the release of “B17 – The Mighty 8th” in 2000. One of the key elements of the game was its focus on jungle based action, a both challenging and exciting feature given the technical limitations at this time. Working as an environment artist mainly, I helped to develop techniques for building credible 3d low poly foliage and terrain, making a significant contribution to what became one of the main selling points of the game.
I also helped build many of the game’s vehicles, including helicopter gunships and various APC’s.
